Total Refrigeration are pleased to announce an increase in the number of freezers that are on Hydrocarbon and the Energy Technology List.
Hydrocarbon is also termed 'Natural Refrigeration' as it is a naturally occuring gas. It is also more energy efficient than other forms of refrigeration such as R404 - a commonly used one - with the added advantage that it is non-Ozone depleting and has a Global Warming potential of less than 3 (R404 has a Global warming potential of 3,750 and CFC's are 8,500 - looking at those figures the benefits are clear!).
Freezers that are on the Energy Technology List have passed stringent tests and are energy efficient - therefore saving you money on running costs. In addition, 100% first-year Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) allows the the full cost of an investment in designated energy-saving machinery to be written off against the taxable profits in which the investment was made.
The general rate of capital allowances for spending on plant and machinery is 20% a year on the reducing balance basis. See www.eca.gov.uk for more details.
The freezers that are newly available on Hydrocarbon refrigerant from 1st June 2010 are:
- Ben & Jerry's Counter Top
