Total Refrigeration donate to local animal shelter

Total Refrigeration, the UK’s leading supplier of branded ice cream freezers, raised some money to help Tameside Animal Shelter after a member of their staff read an article in the local newspaper urgently asking for cat food donations.
The animal shelter in Hyde houses over 60 stray cats as well as a number of dogs and also provides a boarding service.
The shelter is not funded in any way and relies heavily on donations – any money that they receive through boarding or sales of the animals is used to keep the shelter open.
Given the large number of cats that they have there they find that they are always in need of food and always welcome any assistance that they can get.
Kate Wheeler, of Total Refrigeration, organised a ‘dress down’ day and charged a fee to everybody that took part – and even those that didn’t! With the proceeds from this Kate purchased some cat litter and cat food for the shelter.
Kate, and her colleague Kathryn Williams, went to the animal shelter to present them with the cat litter and food. Sandra Hampson, one of the volunteers at the Tameside Animal Shelter, said ‘We are always in need of cat food and so we are very grateful for this donation from Total Refrigeration Ltd – as are the cats!’.
